Donate Books

Friends of Three Creeks Community Library always welcomes and gladly accepts donations of books.   Book donations can be left in either of the two barrels in the Library foyer during all hours when the Library is open for business.  Books placed in these barrels become property of Friends of Three Creeks.

 Friends of Three Creeks is a tax exempt, non-profit organization affiliated with the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation, registered with the State of Washington under RCE 24.03 and operating for charitable purposes under Section 501.c.3 of the Internal Revenue Code.  Donations of books are tax deductible.  Donation receipts for tax deduction purposes are available alongside the barrels.

Donation Guidelines and Restrictions

ü      Books should be in good (new or like new) condition.

ü      Please DO NOT donate books that are moldy, stained, torn, musty, warped, wet, or damaged in any way.

ü      Please DO NOT donate:

      a) partial or incomplete sets (e.g. encyclopedias);

      b) outdated text books or other technical books more that five years old;

      c) Reader’s Digest condensed books; or

d) magazines.

Donated books are first offered to the Library for addition to their collection.  Books that they can use are given to them.  Books they cannot use are stored for quarterly book sales.  Book Sales fund the purchase of special programs, special equipment and material for the library that is not in the library’s budget.

Thank you for your generous donations.  Three Creeks patrons are the best!
